Episode 15 - Committing to the unknown with Gary Austin
Dec 9th, 2009 by improvisednewyork

This week Justin and Liz chat with legendary improvisation and acting teacher Gary Austin. Gary was the founder of the famed Los Angles improvisational theater, The Groundlings and a member of The Committee where he was taught by and performed with Del Close. This two and half hour episode is just the beginning of the stories, exercises, and inspiration Gary brings to every workshop he runs. Gary is a joy.
I’ve had the pleasure of learning from Gary at one week long retreat plus some drop-in classes (awsomeness on the cheap) through Artistic New Directions.
When in HIS class, I always feel like there is something special happening.
Learn from him when you can!
